Ingredients:
8 oz Italian hung-dried pasta (available for purchase with our veggie box)
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup fresh sage leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
2 tablespoons garlic, minced (optional)
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water in a pot. Add the pasta and cook until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
Brown the Butter: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sage leaves (and garlic If desired) and cook until the butter turns golden brown and the sage becomes crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
Combine: Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it in the brown butter. If needed, add reserved pasta water to achieve a creamy consistency.
Season: Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
