Arrows Farm Update

Writer's picture: Allie CorreaAllie Correa

Hi family and friends!

What a busy few months it has been. If you missed it, we gave birth to a precious baby girl in December. We have been quite busy between preparing the ground for spring, taking care of a toddler, and keeping this sweet baby alive! We are so thankful to be home during this time and plan ahead for this year.

We had shared in September we are planning on opening up a kitchen to bring Chefs to our farm to use all fresh and local ingredients. Vinny has been working hard to create a long farm table for guests to sit at, a bar to enjoy local spirits, and creating more seating to sit and relax while enjoying the farm. We hosted our family to celebrate several birthdays with a chef cooking Brazilian bbq. We are excited and in the closing stages of hosting an Atlanta base private company in the restaurant food business, with exciting products and their own Chef . We are also looking for any chefs or parties that would be interested in partnering with us or utilizing our small farm for future events!

Unfortunately, December and January brought some cold weather with freezes where we lost all of our vegetables. For the spring we are looking to have lots of hardy greens, unique and diverse types of lettuces, beets, brassicas, potatoes and many herbs. We will once again be at Cowboy Bob's partnering with local farmers to bring you Hillswitch Market.

It has been a bit chaotic during this season but we are looking forward to getting back on track and back to work!

Here is our newly family of four, thank you to HelloJude Photography, a local Northeast Georgia photographer. You can check out her website here.

At Arrows Farm, we want to bring families back to the table while helping others rethink how they engage with food; starting with an education of sustainable, bio-diversified, small-scale farming. We want to show others how they can start in their own home and begin the journey of a healthier lifestyle.
